Class Notes

​​​​​​1980s:

​​​​​The Honorable Patricia Mendoza (LAS '82, JD '84) was honored with the Lifetime Achievement: Excellence in Government Service Award from MALDEF at their Annual Awards Gala. Judge Mendoza serves as an Associate Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County.

Anna S. Richo ('86) has joined the Board of Directors of Illumina, Inc. Anna is a member of DePaul University's Board of Trustees.

​​​​​​1990s:

Karina Ayala-Bermejo ('98) was honored with the Excellence in Community Service Award from MALDEF at their Annual Awards Gala. Karina is the President and CEO of the Instituto del Progreso Latino.

The Honorable Mitchell B. Goldberg (LAS '96, JD '99) has been named the President of the Chicago Lincoln American Inn of Court for the organization's 2024-2025 bar year. The American Inn of Court is an association of lawyers, judges and other legal professionals seek to inspire the legal community to advance the rule of law by achieving the highest level of professionalism through example, education, and mentoring. Judge Goldberg serves as an Associate Judge for the Circuit Court of Cook County.

​​​​​​2000s:

Jennifer I. Wolfe ('00) has been named Office Managing Partner of Katten's Chicago office. Jen joined Katten directly from DePaul Law and is a partner in the firm's Private Credit Practice Group.

Carlota I. Toledo ('05) has been named Professor of Professional Practice and Director of Academic Success at LSU Law. Professor Toledo will work closely with students to self-assess and develop essential skills such critical reading, logical reasoning, and professional identity.

​​​​​​2010s:

Diandra L. Abate ('16) has joined Goldberg Segalla as a Partner in the firm's Worker's Compensation Practice Group.

The Honorable Michael Zasadil ('16) has been appointed as an Associate Judge in the 22nd Judicial Circuit of Illinois. Prior to this appointment, Judge Zasadil served as an Assistant Public Defender for the McHenry County Public Defender.

​​​​​​2020s:​

Maria T. Collado ('21) has been named to the 2024 30 Under 30 list by the Windy City Times. The honor recognizes individuals for making substantial contributions to the Chicagoland LGBT community in the fields of entertainment, politics, health, activism, academics, sports, or other areas. Maria is the Director of Grants at the Puerto Rican Cultural Center. ​
