3L Spotlight: Paras Aneja

Paras Aneja came to DePaul University College of Law as an aspiring 1L with a strong business background. Initially, he believed that business law would be his calling; however, after interning at Polsinelli PC, he found his true passion in the health law field. Paras credits the Jaharis Health Law Institute’s accomplished guest lecturers, focused curriculum, and events at law firms for further cementing his interest in health law. In particular, Paras claims that Health Policy and the Law gave him a better grasp on the complicated subject that is health law. Paras’ best advice to aspiring 1L’s and 2L’s is to gain experience early through working, for there are practical attributes of being a lawyer that you cannot learn in the classroom. Additionally, Paras told me to talk to all of my professors, for they are extremely valuable resources and are deeply devoted to cultivating a well-rounded legal education for all their students. Paras is currently preparing for the Bar Exam in July and has received a job offer from Argionis & Associates LLC in the medical malpractice field. Good Luck in your legal endeavors Paras!
