The Jaharis Health Law Institute sponsors two teams to compete in the L. Edward Bryant Jr. National Health Law Transactional Moot Court Competition,
held each spring at Loyola University’s Corboy Law Center in Chicago.
The competition exposes students to the corporate and regulatory
practice of health care law, challenging them to apply lawyering skills
by providing legal advice to a hypothetical health care client.
The Jaharis Health Law Institute provides a mentor for each team who aids
students with their public speaking, writing, and persuasive skills. In
addition, the Institute provides access to practicing attorneys to
allow for improvement on each student's oral and presentation skills.
The Competition is a wonderful opportunity for DePaul students to
gain practical and transactional experiences outside the classroom.
