Kathleen Sebelius, the secretary of health and human services, has tendered her resignation to President Obama this week. Sebelius has spent her five year tenure presiding over the largest change to government health programs since Medicare and Medicaid. Sebelius, however, will be most remembered for her tumultuous roll out of President Obama's signature health care reform, the Affordable Care Act. Sylvia Mathews Burwell, director of the Office of Management and Budget, will be nominated by President Obama to succeed Sebelius.
