Welcome to DePaul University College of Law.

At DePaul Law, we are dedicated to producing purpose-driven lawyers who who compassionately serve the public with the trademark DePaul Law excellence in legal practice. Our graduates embrace our tradition of service to others and work tirelessly to enhance access to the legal system for the most vulnerable members of our society.

The DePaul Law experience encourages students to utilize the vibrant, diverse, global city of Chicago to apply their knowledge through experiential learning, skills development, and public service. At DePaul, we recognize that to become effective lawyers in today’s complex and dynamic world, our graduates must be prepared to solve the most pressing problems facing society—not just in law, but also in business, technology, health care and our civic society. The DePaul law faculty ensures that students gain a comprehensive understanding of theory, policy and the law, helping to prepare our students to be effective practitioners with deeply grounded ethical values.

Our engaged and powerful alumni network further enhances the DePaul Law experience. DePaul law alumni are not only leaders in their fields, but they generously mentor our students and provide them with professional opportunities, creating a strong support system.

New Student Orientation begins on August 18th and runs through August 22nd for all students. 1L Service Day will be held during New Student Orientation. Our orientation program is mandatory and is designed to ease you into the academic program while providing you with many opportunities to meet the faculty, staff and your classmates.

We have exciting admitted student programs planned. Incoming 1L students and their guest(s) are invited to attend the incoming admitted student programs designed to introduce you to DePaul College of Law faculty, students, and facilities.

A deposit is required to reserve your seat. Deposit due dates can be found inside your acceptance packet on your acceptance letter.
The 2025 Admitted Student Guide is available and should answer many of your questions.
The DePaul ID Online Photo Submission form instructions provide guidance on how to obtain your DePaul ID online.
The Information Services Technology Checklist will allow you to setup and gain access to a number of key technology resources at DePaul.
