The mission of the Student Bar Association (SBA) is to support the College of Law's diverse and multi-faith student body by creating and maintaining a professional and inclusive community. As an advocate and voice for the entire student body, the SBA is committed to making resources and support accessible to all law students.
The SBA acts not only as the intermediary between the students and administration, but also as the student body's on-campus voice. The SBA consists of current law students, and like the U.S. government, it has three main branches: the executive board, the senate and the judiciary. Except for the judiciary, all SBA positions are elected by the student body.
The executive board consists of the president, the vice president, the treasurer, and various other positions. The executive board works with all College of Law student organizations to plan events throughout the year. The senate is led by the speaker and is made up of elected student representatives from each class year, while the judicial branch consists of one chief justice and two associate justices who address student concerns and conflicts brought to the SBA.
