College of Law > Student Resources > Academic Advising
The College of Law provides personalized advising and support to all students regarding course planning, registration and graduation requirements. The Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, Maria Vertuno, also provides guidance and support with respect to bar applications, character and fitness, and law school certification requirements. The Dean's office is located in 945 O’Malley in the Student Affairs Suite.
The College of Law offers various pathways for specialization, and students have the opportunity to pursue a variety of Programs of Excellence and joint degrees while at DePaul. Students who are interested in focusing their studies in a particular area of law can consult the Director of Student Advising or the faculty program advisors in the various certificate programs. There are also a diverse range of centers and institutes, which offer students the opportunity to engage with faculty across a wide range of disciplines through research, experiential learning and advocacy.
Students seeking additional support in their studies, beyond guidance about choosing courses or areas of concentration, can take advantage of our Academic Success Program (ASP). DePaul also provides preparation and support for students preparing for the bar exam through its Bar Passage Program.
