Thyannda is responsible for Preparing to Practice (P2P), DePaul’s mandatory year-long 1L professional development course. In addition to P2P, Thyannda provides counseling to law students focusing on those with an interest in intellectual property. Thyannda earned her J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law and her B.S. in Child, Adult, and Family Services from Iowa State University. While in law school, Thyannda participated in the Intellectual Property Law Society, Black Law Student Association, and Asian American Law Student Association. She has worked as an intellectual property law attorney in large law firms in Chicago and Kansas City.
