​​Gil Lenz teaches the Criminal Appeals Clinic and the Advanced Criminal Appeals Clinic at DePaul, joining the adjunct faculty in 2016. He has worked at the Office of the State Appellate Defender since 2005, and has represented indigent clients in the Illinois Supreme Court and every district of the Illinois Appellate Court. He obtained his bachelor's degree from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, his master's degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and graduated cum laude from DePaul College of Law in 2005.​
