Noah Praetz is the president and co-founder of The Elections Group and consults on election operations and security for local, state and federal election partners. He formerly ran elections in Cook County, Illinois. Following the 2016 election security events, he pushed nationally on election security and published the first comprehensive election security paper, titled “2020 Vision: Election Security in the Age of Committed Foreign Threats.” He has testified before United States House and Senate Committees on election security. In 2019, he left Cook County to support federal, state and local election security and administration efforts, and then co-founded The Elections Group in 2020.
Noah began his election career as a temporary worker hired to do voter registration data entry prior to the 2000 presidential election. Bush v. Gore had him hooked. Noah is a lecturer at the University of Chicago and an adjunct law professor at DePaul University College of Law.
