Jacqueline D. Gibson is a Chicago native and seasoned commercial real estate attorney with deep expertise in affordable housing, community development and real estate finance. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and earned both a J.D. and an LL.M. in Real Estate Law, with Honors, from UIC School of Law (formerly known as The John Marshall Law School), along with an ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate, with Honors, from Roosevelt University.
Jacqui began her legal career as one of the first law clerks at an affordable housing law firm and went on to practice as an Associate Attorney in the Real Estate and Community development groups at two (2) prominent law firms. She currently serves as Senior Assistant General Counsel – Real Estate Division at a respected public housing agency, managing a range of complex real estate transactions involving development, tax credits, leasing, and construction. She is also an Adjunct Professor of Law in Chicago, where she teaches legal writing and research. Her work reflects a longstanding commitment to commercial real estate law, legal writing and research and an equitable, community-focused development.
