Daniel Cho is the Managing Director and General Counsel of IDEST Capital Partners, where he is responsible for the firm’s global operations, strategy, and legal affairs.
Daniel has extensive experience representing clients across various industries, with a focus on private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial real estate. Prior to joining IDEST, he practiced law at Kirkland & Ellis and DLA Piper, representing private equity sponsors, private companies, and public companies in a wide variety of strategic transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, carve-outs, business combinations, financings, joint ventures, commercial real estate, and other complex strategic transactions.
Daniel began his career in architecture and business development at Safdie Architects. He holds a JD/MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and Pritzker School of Law, as well as a Bachelor of Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design. He is also an adjunct law professor at DePaul University College of Law, where he teaches the Business Law Clinic.
