​​Susan Sherman is a self-employed civil trial attorney with over 20 years of experience.  Sherman started her career at an insurance defense law firm where she was employed for 12 years, six as a partner. She then started her own firm and widened her practice area to focus on additional areas of civil litigation, with an emphasis on commercial and business litigation, breach of contract, liquor law, insurance defense and plaintiff's personal injury. 

Sherman has tried 79 jury trials to verdict.  She is well versed in court room procedure, the rules of evidence and the rules of civil procedure. In addition to being a member of the Illinois bar, she also is a member of the Federal Trial Bar for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois. 

Sherman serves an arbitrator for Cook County Mandatory Arbitration, both for the Municipal Division and Commercial Division, and for the American Arbitration Association. She also is a member of the Illinois Women's Bar Association, and she is ​an animal lover who volunteers at PAWS Chicago.​​
