Clifford endowed the first chair on tort law and social policy at the College of Law in 1994, which provides support for faculty research and teaching and makes possible the celebrated annual Clifford Symposium. He also serves on the DePaul University Board of Trustees and on the advisory board to the International Aviation Law Institute.
