Erika Wyatt (Schiller DuCanto & Fleck LLP) presented to law students and practitioners about the recent change in the Illinois Marriage and Dissolution of Marriage Act with regard to how courts view pets in divorces and separations. It was interesting for our students to learn how the Illinois courts no longer view pets as property.
