DePaul College of Law Named a Best Law School by The Princeton Review

DePaul College of Law is one of the nation's most outstanding law schools, according to The Princeton Review. The education services company includes the school in its list, "Best Law Schools for 2021," reported on December 8, 2020 and posted at https://www.princetonreview.com/best-law-schools.

"We recommend DePaul College of Law and every one of the 164 law schools on our 2021 list as an excellent choice for an aspiring attorney," said Rob Franek, The Princeton Review's editor-in-chief. He noted that the company selected the schools based on an analysis of institutional data it collected from surveys of administrators at law schools during the 2019-2020 academic year. The institutional survey, which numbered more than 200 questions, covered topics from academic offerings and admission requirements to data about currently enrolled students, as well as graduates' employment.

Franek added, "What makes our 'Best Law Schools' designations unique is that we also factor in data from our students attending the schools about their campus and classroom experiences. For our 2021 list, we reviewed survey data from 17,000 students at the 164 schools." The Princeton Review's 80-question student survey asked law school students about their schools' academics, student body, and campus life; it also included questions for the respondents about themselves and their career plans. The student surveys for this edition were conducted during the 2019-20, 2018–19, and 2017–18 academic years.

“I am so pleased that DePaul Law made the Best Law School list again this year. Our combination of academic quality, reflected in its faculty and Programs of Excellence; our individualized support that wraps around every student; and our caring, committed community make the DePaul Law experience a special one," says DePaul College of Law Dean Jennifer Rosato Perea.

The Princeton Review's online law school profiles have sections reporting on each school's academics, student life, admissions information and graduates' employment data. In the profile on DePaul College of Law, The Princeton Review editors note that DePaul “makes great uses of its bustling urban location, near major courthouses and law offices," and students laud their “access to the Chicago legal community, number of alumni in the judiciary, business and private practice in the Chicagoland area."
