IALI welcomes Croatian air law scholar

The International Aviation Law Institute is pleased to welcome Dr. Iva Savić, from the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb (Croatia), as a visiting scholar for the 2014-15 academic year. Dr. Savić first visited IALI in 2010, when she conducted comparative research on airline mergers and acquisitions in the U.S. and EU. Her paper, "Airline Mergers--Responding to Market Changes and Inducing New Market Structures," was later published the Institute's journal, Issues in Aviation Law and Policy. Following her return to Croatia, Dr. Savić began an intensive study on international air law and air services agreements, which became the topic of her Ph.D. dissertation, "Influence of Air Transport Agreements between EU and Third Countries on Development of International Air Law." This year, she is working with Institute Director Brian Havel to research current issues in EU-U.S. aviation relations, and also is jointly preparing a College of Law seminar with Professor Havel.
