The Committee on Legal Education, Admission and Competence has honored the Asylum and Immigration Law Clinic (“AILC”) with “The Excellence on Legal Education Award,” designed to recognize a law school program that emphasizes real world skill for students. This award is representative of the work that the AILC and students do every semester. AILC has taken community involvement to a new level by building a strong network of legal support for immigrants while teaching law students the expertise they need to become effective lawyers in a specialized field of law.
