Associate Dean for Experiential Learning on Fox News

​​The DePaul College of Law's Associate Dean for Experiential Learning, Professor Julie Lawton, who also teaches Real Estate Transactions, was recently interviewed by Fox News for a story on abandoned and vacant property. During the interview, Professor Lawton asks viewers to consider where they want to live. "Do you want to live in an area that is vibrant, or do you want to live in an area where you have across the street an abandoned warehouse?" she asks. She then goes on to explain that "from the homeowners', from the city standpoint, from the safety standpoint, from a community development standpoint, [vacant and abandoned property] is an issue that a number of people want to address and something that we absolutely should address.
