The AILC Hosts Series on Building Immigration Knowledge and Capacity

Through its Legal Resources Project for Immigration Services Providers, the Asylum and Immigration Law Clinic hosted a three-day series on Immigration Basics attended by over 50 staff of Illinois immigrant-serving non-profit organizations. The training was made possible thanks to the Julian Grace Foundation, the Lawyers Trust Fund, the MacArthur Foundation and the Polk Bros. Foundation which provide support for the Clinic’s efforts in building legal services capacity and access to information and services for low-income immigrants. Participants had the opportunity to work through case problems collaboratively with other professionals in their field.
