Financial Hardship Policy

For designated courses and activities, DePaul University College of Law offers financial assistance in the form of waivers, partial and full scholarships. Assistance is determined on a case-by-case basis. Courses which fees cost over $500 can receive at least a 50 percent reduction. This program applies to unemployed attorneys and attorneys working in government or nonprofit organizations.

To request financial hardship assistance, attorneys should contact CLE Director Nicole Pinkey at (312) 362-8372. Attorneys will be asked to fill out an application, which includes personal information, reason for financial assistance request, reason for program interest, percentage covered and to submit a completed course registration form. The document will be review by the administrator of the law school. The attorney will be informed of the decision by mail or email within 7 to 10 business days of receipt of the application.
