Find Your Community and Shape Your Law School Experience
Law school extends well beyond the classroom. At DePaul Law, you can connect with classmates who share your interests, explore different areas of legal practice, strengthen your voice and put your values into action.
However you choose to get involved, these experiences can help you build relationships, pursue your interests and play an active role in the DePaul Law community.
Academic Law Journals
Join a student-edited journal to help produce legal scholarship and explore an area of law in greater depth. Journal participation offers a collaborative way to work with classmates and contribute to DePaul Law’s academic community.
Student Bar Association
Help shape the student experience through DePaul Law’s student government. The Student Bar Association represents the student body, works with the College of Law administration and collaborates with student organizations on events throughout the year.
Student Organizations
Connect with classmates through organizations centered on legal interests, advocacy and shared experiences. Student organizations offer opportunities to take on leadership roles, participate in programs and become more involved in the DePaul Law community.
Student Competitions
Apply what you learn in the classroom through competitions that emphasize advocacy, strategy and professional judgment. These experiences allow you to strengthen practical legal skills and represent DePaul Law beyond the classroom.
Pro Bono and Community Service
Serve Chicago communities through volunteer opportunities coordinated by the Pro Bono & Community Service Initiative. Join your new classmates for 1L Service Day during orientation, then continue giving your time and skills through service opportunities offered throughout the year.
