Protecting the Creative Works of Creative Minds®
In the Technology/Intellectual Property Law Clinic (TIP Clinic®), students help clients protect creative and entrepreneurial work through trademark and copyright representation. Under faculty supervision, students counsel individuals, small businesses and nonprofit organizations on trademark selection, protection, enforcement and registration before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Law School Trademark Clinic Program.
The Clinic also gives students experience with copyright registration and licensing. Through a partnership with DePaul’s Jarvis College of Computing and Digital Media (CDM), students provide limited-scope legal guidance to select CDM students who encounter intellectual property issues while developing creative works.
