Financial Aid

​​​​​​​Financing Your Legal Education 

To ensure that your financial aid application is reviewed, please complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible. The FAFSA code for DePaul University College of Law is 001671. 

Federal student loan information is available at studentaid.gov, and DePaul University’s Financial Aid Office provides information on types of aid, how to receive aid, maintaining eligibility, managing costs and repaying loans.  ​

The Student Financial Accounts website provides information on payment plans to help you manage your financial obligations, as well as the options for making tuition payments.   

The College of Law also is committed to ensuring that all current students have access to information and resources that will assist them in managing their finances throughout their law school career.  Please visit the Financial Resources​ page for more information. ​

Financial Aid Counseling 

If you are a first-time federal loan borrower, you are required to complete an Entrance Counseling session at studentaid.gov. 

If you have received a Federal Direct Loan or Federal Perkins Loan and have applied for graduation; are leaving DePaul University, either permanently or for a period of time; or are enrolled less than half time, either permanently or for a period of time, you are required to complete personalized Exit Counseling session with the appropriate program(s).
