Student Involvement

Public Interest Law Association (PILA)

The Public Interest Law Association (PILA) encourages law students to use their legal education as a vehicle for justice. Rooted in DePaul Law’s Vincentian mission, PILA raises awareness about the legal needs of underserved communities and offers students a platform to engage with public interest law. The organization hosts events, fosters connections with practitioners, and funds summer stipends for students pursuing unpaid public interest work—empowering students to make a tangible difference in the lives of others.

DePaul Journal for Social Justice

The DePaul Journal for Social Justice  provides a vibrant forum for interdisciplinary dialogue on critical social justice issues. Designed to amplify underrepresented voices and challenge conventional legal narratives, the journal embraces both traditional and alternative forms of scholarly expression. Law students collaborate with academics, practitioners, and community leaders to explore policy and practice solutions that promote equity, inclusion, and systemic change.
