DePaul Law Dean's Advisory Council (DAC) is an advisory board consisting of alumni from various areas of law practice. Individuals are nominated for membership by the dean of the College of Law and the Nominating Committee. A DAC member's term is three years, subject to annual renewal.
Members of DAC advise and assist the dean as requested. Additional responsibilities include: promoting the image of the law school; increasing the College's outreach to law firms and alumni; advancing the mission of the law school through participation in raising external funds, including making an annual personal gift; increasing the interaction between the faculty and the legal world; engaging current students through increased alumni interaction; and attracting prominent attorneys to the campus as guest lecturers.

Honorary Dean's Advisory Council
Honorary Dean's Advisory Council (DAC) status is granted to council members who provided extraordinary service to the College of Law, the legal community and/or the Chicago community during their council tenure. The status is offered to members who have completed at least four terms of service on DAC and have been recommended for the honor by the DAC Nominating Committee. The dean makes the final determination on granting Honorary Dean's Advisory Council status.
