Aliza Kaliski teaches the Criminal Appeals Clinic and the Advanced Criminal Appeals Clinic at DePaul, having joined the adjunct faculty in 2018. She worked at the Office of the State Appellate Defender from 2005 to 2010, and then returned to the Office of the State Appellate Defender in 2015. In that capacity, she represents indigent clients in criminal appeals in the Illinois Supreme Court and Illinois Appellate Court. From 2011 to 2015, she worked as a deputy legislative counsel for the Office of Legislative Counsel in Sacramento, California, and at the Uniform Law Commission in Chicago. She received her JD, cum laude, from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and her undergraduate degree is from the University of California at Berkeley.
