The Health Law Certificate* for Health Students & Professionals is designed for students interested in gaining a greater understanding of legal doctrine in the health care field. The program will familiarize students with the legal and regulatory issues they will encounter in their work, allowing them to more effectively deal with the legal concerns of patients and to better communicate with legal counsel throughout their careers.
Health Law Certificate students move through the program as a cohort of no more than 25 students. Students complete a 12 credit-hour, four-topic course series to obtain the certificate in one school year while taking medical school courses. The certificate program is taught by DePaul health law faculty in a flexible online learning format.
