3L Spotlight: Vincent Obah

Vincent Obah grew up on the south side of Chicago and attended the University of Dubuque in Iowa where he received his Bachelors of Arts in Criminal Justice and Sociology degree. Upon graduation, he worked for a year before being accepted to DePaul University College of Law.

Vincent believes the course, Bioethics in the Law, has been the most important course he took during his law school career. His current focus is on compliance and regulatory health care work. Vincent believes that DePaul has prepared him for practice in health law through the Jaharis Health Law Institute. Not only did the Institute provide advice, classes, and practical work on what it will take to be a successful health law attorney, he also found tremendous support within the community.

Vincent offers the following advice to rising 1Ls and 2Ls: “Never remain content, continue to try and do more, continue to better your best.” Vincent has accepted an offer at a law firm in Iowa as an associate where he will be working on personal injury and workers compensation cases.

We wish him the best and look forward to seeing him excel in his career.
