As the president of the Student Bar Association (SBA), my role is to advocate for the student body. I am committed to enhancing the law school experience and addressing the concerns of every student at DePaul University College of Law.
This year, the SBA will usher in an unprecedented amount of opportunities for student involvement. Under the guidance of the previous SBA administration, we are proud to have expanded our original structure to include a formal legislative and judicial branch alongside the executive branch. We expect these new bodies to provide students with several avenues to discuss important issues and provide support to our fellow student organizations.
The SBA will have numerous projects throughout the academic year, including Diversity Week, the Mentorship Program, Barrister’s Ball, monthly bar reviews and several community service opportunities.
I encourage every student to take advantage of the opportunities to be involved with the SBA. Students are welcome to attend monthly senate meetings, join committees, or simply share their questions or concerns with any officer of the SBA. As students, you are all members of the SBA and I look forward to working with you and representing you throughout the school year.
