Volunteer Opportunities

If you are interested in volunteering, a good first step is to sign up for PBCSI's weekly e-newsletter and volunteer bulletin. Contact to join the email list. Review the descriptions of our partner organizations. After taking these steps, contact PBCSI's director to schedule an appointment to find a volunteer opportunity that fits your interests and schedule.

PBCSI's partner sites are just a few of the places available to volunteer in Chicago. Following are some additional resources for finding volunteer opportunities.

  • The Chicago Bar Foundation's Pro Bono Opportunities Guide provides a comprehensive list of Chicago's legal aid agencies seeking volunteers.
  • Illinois Legal Aid Online's Illinois Pro Bono: Law Students page offers information on pro bono and community service opportunities with legal aid organizations specifically seeking law student volunteers.
  • Illinois Legal Aid Online and the Public Interest Law Initiative's Pro Bono Case Pairing & Mentor Matching System matches newer pro bono volunteers, including law students, with experienced pro bono practitioners.
