Border Project
During Spring Break, six law students, supervised by College of Law faculty, will travel to Harlingen, Texas, to volunteer their services with ProBAR (South Texas Pro Bono Asylum Representation Project), an American Bar Association-sponsored project. ProBAR staff will have identified immigrant detainee clients in need of legal representation. During their week on the border, students may travel to the detention facility, meet with clients, conduct research and gather documents to prepare cases for hearing before an immigration judge.
