Certificate in IP: Information Technology Law

To earn a Certificate in Information Technology Law a student must complete the eighty-six (86) semester hours required for the Juris Doctor degree and satisfy all J.D. requirements. Within the elective course work required for the J.D. degree, a student must fulfill the following requirements:

Students are strongly urged to choose courses labeled Highly Recommended to fulfill the electives. Certain courses in the College of Commerce or the College of Computing and Digital Media may be approved to fulfill at most one certificate elective. Occasionally new seminars or courses may be added or available on a one-time basis which would be appropriate electives for this certificate. Students may contact Professor Joshua Sarnoff to seek approval for elective credit for such courses.
