Perspectives on Immigration 2009
Perspectives on Immigration was a daylong conference focused on different aspects of immigration. The conference included over 10 breakout sessions focusing on topics such as Raids, Dream Act, 1.5 Generation and Immigrants Access to benefits. Perspectives on Immigration drew over 300 participants and the keynote speakers where Senator Richard J. Durbin and attorney Carlina Tapia-Ruano. The conference was collaborative effort between the Archdiocese of Chicago, DePaul University, Dominican University, Loyola University and Catholic Relief Services.
