Sandra Kupelian

Professor Sandra Kupelian joins DePaul’s legal writing faculty after many years in private practice where she concentrated on complex civil litigation. Her legal specialties included product liability, toxic torts, and commercial, construction and insurance coverage litigation. Professor Kupelian began her legal career as an appellate law clerk before joining the law firm of Cassiday Schade & Gloor LLP, where she became a partner in 1999. In 2006, she helped launch the boutique litigation firm Gloor Law Group LLC, where, of counsel, she concentrated on appeals and critical motions. She began teaching at DePaul as an adjunct legal writing professor in 2007. Professor Kupelian also has volunteered her legal services in a number of pro bono matters including representing the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights-Immigration Project, and the National Lawyers Guild, in the U.S. Supreme Court. Professor Kupelian received her BA from Northern Illinois University and her JD, cum laude, from the University of Illinois.
