Scott F. Main teaches legal writing and the Criminal Appeals Clinic at DePaul University College of Law. He joined the Children & Family Justice Center at the Bluhm Legal Clinic at Northwestern Law School in September 2012 as a clinical fellow focused on litigation strategy for juveniles serving life without parole sentences. Previously, he was an assistant appellate defender at the Office of the State Appellate Defender for more than 10 years where he represented indigent clients convicted of criminal offenses on appeal and argued before the Illinois Appellate Court and Illinois Supreme Court. His areas of expertise include criminal defense and appellate advocacy. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago and his law degree from Loyola University Chicago.
