The Center for Art, Museum & Cultural Heritage Law was founded by Patty Gerstenblith, Distinguished Research Professor of Law, to promote research and concentrated study in the rapidly growing areas of art, museum and cultural heritage law. The Centerís affiliated faculty member, Dr. Morag Kersel, Assistant Professor of Anthropology at DePaul University, is a leading scholar of the antiquities market, particularly in the Eastern Mediterranean.

CAMCHL offers students opportunities to explore these exciting areas of law through a two-course sequence of Art and the Law and a Seminar in Cultural Heritage Law, complemented by a range of programs and activities, including internship and externship placements at U.S. and international cultural institutions, government agencies and nonprofit organizations.
