Lori Breslauer serves as Acting General Counsel, Field Museum of Natural History. She provides counsel to the Museum on legal matters and transactions including issues relating to intellectual property, collections management/cultural property, exhibitions, business affairs, education initiatives, and insurance. In this capacity she provides assistance to the Museum’s Repatriation Office concerning the Museum’s compliance with federal repatriation law and its response to requests for return of collection items from Native American and indigenous peoples from around the world.
Lori earned her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law and her B.S. from Purdue University. She has worked at the Field Museum since 1994.
