Law Alumni Awards
The DePaul University College of Law Alumni Awards program began in 1994 as an initiative of the Law Alumni Board. Today it honors outstanding DePaul University College of Law alumni in four categories: Distinguished Alumnus/a, Outstanding Service to the Profession, Outstanding Service to DePaul University and Outstanding Young Alumnus/a.
Proceeds from the Law Alumni Awards Dinner benefit the Center for Public Interest Law (CPIL) at DePaul. Nearly 200 alumni and friends attended the 2009 dinner, nearly $80,000 for CPIL.
The 2010 Law Alumni Awards Dinner will take place on Thursday, March 4, 2010, at the historic Blackstone Hotel on Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago. Honorees include:
- Distinguished Alumnus: Donald L. Mrozek (’73), Managing Partner, Hinshaw & Culbertson
- Outstanding Service to the Profession: Anne Pramaggiore (’89), President & Chief Operating Officer, ComEd
- Outstanding Service to DePaul University: Bernard B. Rinella (’61), Senior Partner, Rinella & Rinella, Ltd.
- Outstanding Young Alumnus: Juan Carlos Linares (’02), Global Real Estate Manager & Assistant General Counsel, IES Abroad
