How to Apply
Applicants to the College of Law must submit the following materials electronically through the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) and register with the LSAC Credential Assembly Service (CAS):
- Electronic application
- Letter(s) of recommendation
- Personal statement
- Resume (optional but highly recommended)
- Diversity Statement (optional but highly recommended)
- LSAT or GRE score
- Current CAS report from LSAC
Application materials and updates, with name and LSAC account number, should be sent electronically to lawinfo@depaul.edu. The College of Law only accepts applications submitted through LSAC. Paper materials and updates will not be accepted, retained or reviewed by the Admission Committee and will be discarded.
The application fee is waived for all first-year online applicants to the JD program.
Disabled applicants in need of a reasonable accommodation to complete the application process, or other applicants who require a paper application, should contact the Office of Law Admission at (312) 362-6831 or lawinfo@depaul.edu with their request.
When to Apply
DePaul has a rolling admission process and reviews applications as soon as they are completed. Early application is highly recommended, especially for those who desire merit scholarship and financial aid consideration. First-year applicants are only granted admission for the fall semester.
First-year applicants should ensure that their application and all necessary documents are on file in the Office of Admission prior to the suggested deadline of April 1. However, we continue to accept applications after this date.
