Lodging & Costs

Chiapas, Mexico
For the 10-day program to Chiapas, DePaul faculty will advise students of the chosen group flight for travel to Chiapas. Students are responsible for the purchase of their own transportation, which has ranged from $300-$600 dollars in previous years. DePaul arranges all transportation, hotel arrangements, and programming for students staying 10 days. For those staying the entire summer, participants may arrange apartment, family or other community lodging, in consultation with the program director and our community hosts.

Costs

Students are required to pay a program fee to participate in both the 10-day and summer-long program—the fee is identical for both. Program directors strive to keep the program fee as economical as possible. The 2017 program fee was about $900. This fee covers all in-country payments for transportation, hotel, several group meals, honoraria to our hosts and speakers, and other incidental expenses.
