Professor Alejandra Salinas

Professor Alejandra Salinas holds a B.A. in Political Science and a Ph.D. in Sociology from the Catholic University of Argentina at Buenos Aires (UCA), and is a specialist in the relationship of culture, social habits, and political institutions to the functioning of the rule of law and the economy. She serves as Director of Research at ESEADE, and as Editor in Chief of the journal Revista de Instituciones, Ideas y Mercados. She is also Professor of Contemporary Political and Social Theory at ESEADE, Universidad Tres de Febrero and the Catholic University of Argentina. Her research interests and publications focus on democratic theory, ethics and politics, political psychology, contemporary political philosophy, and literature. She has lived and lectured widely in the United States, and has been the recipient of fellowships and grants from the American Political Science Association, the International Political Science Association, and the International Visitors Program (U.S. Government), among other institutions.
