As the executive director of DePaul College of Law's Center for Intellectual Property Law & Information Technology (CIPLIT®), Ellen Gutiontov provides overall leadership and management of a nationally-ranked intellectual property program. She also serves as an adjunct professor at both the College of Law and the College of Commerce in the area of real estate. She also has taught courses in intellectual property and legal drafting.

In her private practice, she represents individuals and corporations in real estate transactions and advises clients on real estate investment and development matters, contract negotiations, corporate governance and intellectual property. She is also Of Counsel at the Law Offices of Marc J. Lane.

She received her JD, cum l​aude, from DePaul College of Law where she was a recipient of the “Top Scholar” award and a member of the DePaul Law Review.  She is licensed to practice in the State of Illinois and United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
