As the Executive Director of the Center for Intellectual Property Law & Information Technology (CIPLIT®) at the DePaul University College of Law, Ellen Gutiontov provides overall leadership and management of a nationally-ranked Intellectual Property Program. She also serves as an adjunct professor at both the DePaul University College of Law and College of Commerce in the area of real estate. She also taught courses in intellectual property and legal drafting.

In her private practice she represents individuals and corporations in real estate transactions and advises clients on real estate investment and development matters, contract negotiations, corporate governance, and intellectual property. She is also Of Counsel at the Law Offices of Marc J. Lane.

She received her JD, Cum Laude, from the DePaul University College of Law where she was a recipient of the “Top Scholar” award and a member of the DePaul Law Review.  She also holds an MBA from DePaul University Kellstadt Graduate School of Business and a BA from Gomel Music College (with High Honors) & Belarus State Conservatory.

She is licensed to practice in the State of Illinois and United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
